Our client, Australian based subsea and pipeline engineering / design consultancy, expanding to Houston, has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Pipeline Engineering Manager to be based in Houston, TX.

Position Summary

Our client, an Australian subsea and pipeline engineering / design consultancy, is expanding its engineering team in Houston. They have an immediate requirement for a Subsea Pipeline Engineering Manager , to lead a multinational engineering team designing a deepwater gas pipeline system. The project is currently in Pre-FEED phase, transitioning to FEED in late 2024.

Essential Duties

The Subsea Pipeline Engineering Manager will:

  • Build and lead Company's current Pre-FEED engineering Team as it transitions to FEED phase.
  • Manage and supervise other projects' subsea design teams in Houston and Australia.
  • Develop junior engineers' technical and professional competencies.
  • Contribute to business development and tendering activities for Company's American portfolio of clients.
Education and Required Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered)
  • Minimum 15 years of subsea pipeline engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of overall subsea system design
  • Proven ability to work in multi-discipline engineering teams for Conceptual Studies, Pre-FEEDs, FEED and Detailed Engineering Design of subsea pipeline systems.
  • Familiar with U.S. and international design codes and practices for offshore pipelines.
  • Must be a legal United States citizen or otherwise legally able to work in the U.S.A.
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate would also have most of the following qualifications:
  • P.S. licensure
  • Working knowledge of, or an ability to effectively interface with, other engineering disciplines including flow assurance, subsea equipment and controls, and subsea structures
  • Strong client consultancy experience and effective communication skills
