They can also develop, implement, and maintain appropriate systems and processes for manufacture, failure analysis, and repair of these designs. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings with statistically informed tolerances, and read and interpret blueprints. Job Responsibilities: • Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, machines and other mechanical devices for consumer electronics. • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications. • Build mock ups and prototypes and expected to deliver detail documentations of such work. • Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Skills/Qualifications: • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. • Team player and detail oriented. • Proficient in Siemens NX CAD package is required • Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas. • Strong notetaker and technical documentation writer • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. • Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. • Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field. • Experience with mechanism design for small consumer electronics and/or surfacing experience is preferred Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
