Job Description

Join our team to help design and evolve a variety of web and native applications working with a highly diverse, talented team of UX professionals.

The ideal candidate will be driven by the desire to be a user advocate, be passionate about creating intuitive products, use their strengths in multiple research methodologies, and wear many hats (mentor, strategist, collaborator, evangelist, etc.). They will use applicable knowledge and skills in user testing, research best practices, and methodologies for a wide variety of problems within their domain.

As a UX Researcher, you will have:
  • Ability to independently drive multiple concurrent projects in an agile environment.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business problems and advocate for the optimal user experience.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
  • Passion for understanding and applying the latest learnings and innovations in social and behavioral science, research methods, and UX design.
  • Strategic, business-building approach to research with a proven capacity for translating data into bottom-line impact.
  • Ability to handle high complexity and ambiguity, defining crisp, cogent strategy for net-new product development, whether from many diverse inputs or with no input at all.
  • Experience systematically weaving research insights into ideation and design sprint processes.
  • Deep understanding of human motivations, capabilities, and limitations, and their implication for product design.
  • Understanding of the product design process and how research is appropriately integrated at each phase.
  • Experience with embedded systems and multi-modal device interaction (e.g., touch, voice, and mediated control).
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the XD domain team to understand the needs, business features, and requirements.
  • Design and conduct user research using methods such as interviews, personas, journey maps, current state analysis, web metrics, prototype testing, and surveys.
  • Be fluent in various research approaches, including heuristic, quantitative, qualitative, or observational
  • Analyze and synthesize user data and insights, and communicate them clearly and persuasively to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a high level of independent work, and deliver high-quality research outputs on time and to plan.
  • Collaborate professionally with remote team members, digital colleagues, and business partners.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in social and behavioral science, research methods, and UX design.
  • Provide post testing recommendations and generate business alignment for modification strategies
Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree or equivalent and relevant work experience in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, or other related discipline
  • 5+ years working in the field of UX research, with emphasis on qualitative methods, in a professional/corporate setting.
  • Experience planning and executing different types of user experience research activities such as ideation workshops with stakeholders, leveraging Design Thinking activities; store visits, contextual inquiries, requirements gathering activities, concept testing, early prototype testing, usability testing, and customer surveys.
  • Understanding of theories and principles of user-centered Design.
  • Well-versed in a variety of usability testing and research methods.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and ability using remote unmoderated testing tools and moderated testing devices and platforms (UserZoom/UserTesting, Userlytics, etc.).

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 38,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 152,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.
This position is also available for independent contractors
