Position Summary

The IT DevOps Engineer is a hands-on technical operations role, responsible for providing support and administration to development teams in their CI/CD processes, as well as the underlying Azure DevOps Server/Services environments. The IT DevOps Engineer takes ownership of work-items, as needed to support development teams through any non-infrastructure related needs, during the software release process. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of DevOps technologies, with a focus on Azure DevOps (on-premises and cloud), and a desire to continuously improve upon that knowledge through on-going integration of acquired code into the Azure DevOps Service Cloud.

Qualifications and Key Skills
  • Current ‘Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions’ (Proof of AZ-400) Certification, or 2+ years’ Azure DevOps Server/Service Administrator experience, required.
  • The ideal candidate will also have Azure Infrastructure Administration experience or Current 'Azure Administrator Associate' (Proof of AZ-104) Certification.
  • 4+ years’ experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems, using critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to do so under minor supervision.
  • 4+ years’ experience troubleshooting webserver technology (IIS, Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, etc.).
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux Server Infrastructure required.
  • Understanding of user, server, network, and storage administration in an enterprise environment.
  • Existing knowledge of best practice IT infrastructure maintenance responsibilities, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledgebase documentation skills and ability to articulate knowledge to non-technical staff.
Responsibilities
  • Review, prioritize, and execute in a rapid/agile fashion on all Pull-Requests and Related Work-Items or assigned project tasks daily in an organized, efficient, and expedited fashion, in the support of all non-production environments of the SDLC.
  • Perform daily pipeline security/quality gate review, with a “DevSecOps” mindset, verifying the integrity and availability of all landing-zones, working with Site Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure teams to maintain high-availability of production.
  • Act as the primary resource to all Development teams, to aid with the build (CI) and deployment (CD) activities.
  • Create and maintain knowledgebase documentation, as well as operations runbooks on all Pipelines.
  • Participate in regulatory compliance (PCI/HIPAA) audits and penetration testing, with remediation tasks.

Working Conditions
  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
  • No regular travel required.
