Job Description

The E-commerce Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and measuring ROI of the E-commerce platform as well as for achieving sales goals. The Manager will lead cross-functional teams in developing E-Commerce product strategy for all products with a focus on profitability, guest experience, and brand identity. The E-commerce Manager will be responsible for managing the following: implementing E-commerce strategy, tactically managing sales and advertising; overall web-site implementation including content, visuals, product positioning, promotions, etc.; measuring analytics and interpreting data and trends, managing the E-commerce marketing calendar, and executing CRM initiatives; liaising with CT to ensure the user experience is world class; executing on and adjusting inventory levels to maximize profitability; and fostering guest engagement and loyalty through the E-commerce experience. The E-commerce Manger will maintain close awareness of internal team priorities and activities and how they relate to overall objectives for Biltmore Shop. They will manage the Biltmore Shop brand and ensure all strategies and tactics meet Biltmore brand standards including, a special focus on Guest Services and Fulfillment. Additionally, the E-commerce Manager will have a key focus on building relationships across cross-functional teams and influencing key partners to come to collaborative decisions that support the growth and expansion of Biltmore Shop.

Essential Job Duties

1. Project manage new product merchandising initiatives and coordinate product launches across cross-functional teams.
2. Collaborate with Corporate Marketing, Wine Company, and Retail Product Development teams to ensure consistent brand experience across biltmoreshop.com and ensure all Biltmore Shop brand standards are being met.
3. Facilitate technology development and coordinate IT priorities to ensure guest experience is updated as needed.
4. Launch new products online for all E-commerce platforms.
5. Manage and update banners, creative, promotions, and all E-commerce associated content across any other marketing touchpoints.
6. Implement, test, and monitor online promotions and provide data and analytics on performance as well as recommend new strategies for future promotions to the Director of E-commerce.
7. Coordinate product photo shoots for new inventory.
8. Mange merchandising strategy by updating E-commerce home page, category landing pages, and attributing products. Input product descriptions and supplemental content for product launches.
10. Manage product data across multiple platforms. Update shipping software. Partner with Vanderbilt Wine Club team to meet technology needs.
11. Measure and analyze sales performance at the SKU level and partner with Retail Stores to ensure consistent pricing strategy as well as key promotional strategies.
12. Optimize analytics and create new sales opportunities through data driven decision making.
13. Manage Guest Service standards and implement consistent and professional guest service interactions with Guest Services Manager.
14. Collaborate with E-commerce Fulfillment and Inventory Control to create and execute on plans to ensure cohesive fulfillment experience for guests and reduce inefficiencies in processes.

Qualifications

1. Two or four-year degree strongly preferred. Additional training, education, and/or certification(s) preferred.
2. At least five (5) years of digital, e-commerce, or marketing experience. Equivalent combination of education/experience considered. Upscale retail experience preferred.
3. Fluent in e-commerce development, channel management, and analytics; experience in developing product and retail strongly preferred.
3. Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service; proven leadership skills; ability to work successfully within cross-functional teams; solid negotiation skills.
4. Proficiency in Word, Excel; ability to learn quickly Biltmore's systems, procedures, product/services. Prior experience with POS and/or inventory control systems preferred.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to convey information clearly, and concisely.
6. Outstanding planning, organizational, time/project management skills; keen attention to details; prioritizes/multi-tasks under deadline, can adapt; solid problem solver.
7. Proactive, exercises good judgment; anticipates/troubleshoots.
8. Professionally represents company; reflects company core values; high ethical standards; builds positive working relationships.

Physical Requirements

1. Some travel required; must have a valid driver's license.
2. Required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
