ABOUT THE POSITION: We're looking for an Electronic Engineer who is excited to design products that are part of our core business (motorcycle, ATV / UTV, snowmobile, work lights, signalization, etc.). Each day is different, as you'll work on a variety of tasks from creating circuitry designs from concept to hardware, resolving issues and problems, brainstorming, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams, reviewing and overseeing tests, and more

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: You'll bring your 3-5 years experience of designing electronic circuits along with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology. You're able to independently and cross-functionally complete engineering tasks within the product scope, balancing multiple projects at various stages of development. You enjoy wearing multiple different hats and exploring new technologies. Preferably, you'll have experience with PADS, SPICE-based circuit simulation, designing for EMI / EMC, analog circuitry, and switching power supplies (Buck, Boost, SEPIC topologies, < 200 Watt).

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

You will INNOVATE by:

  • Designing electronic circuitry from concept to hardware including block diagrams, schematic drawings, layout planning for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and lab development testing.
  • Working closely with manufacturing and suppliers through purchasing to design robust products, simplifying assembly and testing, and assisting in the advancement of state-of-the-art electronic assembly process.
  • Specifying electrical and electronic components and approving sources.
  • Estimating and quoting for new projects including project duration, assumptions, feasibility, risks, product and project costs relative to all electrical design related activities.
  • Developing PCB layout experience: 4-Layer FR4; Single-layer metal-clad


You will EXPLORE by:

  • Approving department documentation & procedures as well as generating testing procedures & requirements.
  • Guiding and supporting Product Designers and Electronic Technicians while also supporting Project Managers and other cross-functional team members.
  • Developing initial resource loaded design project plans and managing the plan execution.
  • Gaining knowledge with vehicle lighting requirements and regulations (SAE, ECE, FMVSS).

You will PERFORM by:

  • Using knowledge and understanding of customer technical requirements/specifications and expectations.
  • Completing all assigned design related activities for NPD and R&D projects accurately and timely.
  • Providing cost estimates for new designs and projects, both high level and detailed.
  • Interacting effectively with internal and external customers and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
