The Role

As a Software Engineer focused on back-end development, you will be instrumental in building infrastructure that supports our high-performing, intuitive web applications. This role requires hands-on development using technologies like AWS, Python, and Django. You will play a key role in scaling our infrastructure while collaborating with design and project teams to implement effective solutions for our customers' most complex security needs.

Essential Job Duties
  • Develop with Purpose: Build, test, and optimize back-end software that drives intuitive, high-performance web applications.
  • Collaborate to Innovate: Work with cross-functional teams, translating specifications into working solutions.
  • Ensure Robustness: Configure applications, conduct peer reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain code quality.
  • Support Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to software documentation and user guides, ensuring clear guidance for users and team members.
  • Evaluate & Recommend: Assist in assessing new software tools, packages, and methodologies, making strategic recommendations for improvements.
  • Adapt & Execute: Take initiative in delivering solutions, leading development projects from concept through to release.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Security Clearance: Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in back-end development using Python, Django, and AWS; familiarity with Rust, Go, or other languages is beneficial.
  • API Proficiency: Experience designing, creating, and interacting with APIs (REST, SOAP, or GraphQL).
  • Continuous Integration & Deployment: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Solid Fundamentals: Strong understanding of computer science principles, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly convey design processes, ideas, and solutions to peers and stakeholders.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
