GENERAL SUMMARY: The ED Liaison will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and they will have working knowledge and understanding of ED daily operations to facilitate and excellent patient experience. The ED Liaison will guide and support staff in delivering high quality patient care and service, for ED patients who need assistance. The ED Liaison will serve as a conduit to keep bi-directional lines of communication open between the care team and the patient/family during their stay and must possess the ability to work independently as well as collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, service delivery partners, providers, other health care professionals and co-workers to build and maintain effective, dynamic professional team relationships.QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Skills Required:1.Understanding and commitment to CVPH core values of teamwork, commitment, confidentiality and quality care. 2.Excellent attention to detail3.Good written and verbal communication skills4.Above average spelling and memory skills5.Working knowledge of medical terminology and medications6.Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, providers, patients and families7.Above average organizational skills8.Ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum amount of supervisory directionAs applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients for which care is being provided.
