Adler Park School is looking for a Learning Center Clerk for the 2024-2025 school year. This is full-time position, 7.5 hours per day, with 7 hours paid and a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
Position includes individual medical and dental insurance, 2 personal days, 12 sick days, $20,000 life insurance, and a $550 457 account contribution annually.
Salary is $16.41/hour.

Qualifications: ISBE Paraeducator Approval (ELS)PARA), ELS(SUB), or Teacher License
Proficiency in typing, office computer programs including word processing, spreadsheet, and data base. Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of such office machinery as computers, printers, calculators, copiers, fax machines and multifunction telephones. Interest in working with children and teachers. Must have knowledge, or interest in acquiring knowledge, of children's books.

Purpose: To assist in the daily operation and organization of the school library media program.

  1. Assists students and staff in finding and using the library resources
  2. Assists with the circulation and storage of all library resources
  3. Processes new materials
  4. Prepares reports, resource lists, newsletters, and other items requested by the school library information specialist
  5. Implements efficient office and library procedures
  6. Assists with inventories and withdrawal of materials
  7. Assists in preparing instructional materials, exhibits, and displays
  8. Collects data as requested by the librarian
  9. Participates in work-related training
  10. Helps maintain an attractive and inviting school library environment
  11. Promotes a positive relationship with students, staff, and community
  12. Performs other duties as assigned
  13. Supports school and district initiatives within the library program
  14. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by an administrator.
