Zurich North America is seeking a AEM Developer to join our Group in Steven's Point, Wisconsin.

At Zurich, technology is at the heart of everything we do, from underwriting risks to processing claims. The Information Technology team equips our employees with the latest tools to complete their work efficiently and with the highest standards of excellence. The team is responsible for shielding the company's systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable Zuirch businesses to achieve their goals. Information Technology functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance.

About the role:

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and stakeholders to design and develop AEM components, templates, and workflows that meet project requirements
  • Customize and extend AEM functionality using technologies like Java, HTL (HTML Template Language), and JavaScript
  • Integrate AEM with various third-party systems and platforms using APIs and other integration methods
  • Configure AEM settings, permissions, and workflows based on project needs and best practices
  • Assist in content migration and authoring, ensuring seamless transition and adherence to content guidelines and best practices
  • Optimize AEM performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, improving code efficiency, and implementing caching strategies
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to ensure a cohesive and efficient implementation of digital solutions
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to team members and stakeholders
  • Document technical specifications, system architecture, and development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure code meets established standards and project requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • Two year degree in CIS/Computer Science or 1-2 years of IT Development expereince in lieu of degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an AEM Developer, including custom component development and integration with AEM platform
  • Strong proficiency in Java, HTL, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies used in AEM development
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and their integration with AEM
  • Experience with AEM Core Components and AEM Touch UI development
  • Knowledge of AEM administration, including user permissions, configurations, and system maintenance
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, version control systems, and CI/CD processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills and being able to convey information and resolving user issues through clear, concise, and empathetic interactions .
  • Task management and prioritization skills, ensuring efficient handling of user inquiries and concerns
