Qualifications

  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Surgical Technology Program
  • Certification through National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • Maintenance of CPR, BLS validation, and attendance of annual Validation Day required
  • Knowledge of various surgical procedures and equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field
