Your Role: Calibration Technician

The Calibration Technician is a crucial role within our manufacturing team. This position will be responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining all instrumentation and control systems in our manufacturing facility.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine calibration of instruments and control systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control systems as needed.
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation in accordance with Elanco's standards and GMP requirements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure equipment functionality and efficiency.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new calibration processes, optimization and procedures. Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Applicants should either hold a technical degree in areas such as Engineering or Science or bring a strong background of a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the instrumentation field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a calibration role.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with calibration tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and the ability to adhere to these compliance guidelines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Previous experience in a calibration role within a healthcare manufacturing environment.
  • SAP, ERP experience
  • Managing vendors
Additional Information:
  • Work flexibility to adjust to operation hours.
  • Travel: less than 10%
  • Location: Elanco Manufacturing Site (Lenexa and Overland Park locations)
