This position reports to
Quality Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance. The work model for the role is: onsite. #LI-onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Service division in Florence, SC with some travel to Mebane, NC. You will be mainly accountable for:
• Assure the implementation of the local Quality System by integrating requirements from our internal/ external sources as ISO 9001:2015, 10CFRPart 50 Appendix B.
• Developing and maintaining quality control procedures and documentation. Assisting cross functional teams in the creation and update of procedures to ensure conformance with those standards
• Conducting external and internal audits ensuring agendas, participation of all involved departments and closure of findings.
• Participate as internal Auditor and in Suppliers audits to ensure compliance with those standards
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar, with at least 4 years of experience in Quality department working as Quality Systems Engineer or Quality Assurance Engineer; or alternately a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments in Quality.
- Strong knowledge in ISO 9001:2015. Lead auditor certified is desirable or at least Internal Auditor certified.
- Knowledge in 10CFRPart 50 Appendix B is desirable.
- Strong experience in resolution problem solving processes.
- Operates in a fast-paced environment where decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essential.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Knowledge in Gensuite and Windchill is desirable.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
