Job Title: IT Support / Help Desk Technician

Location: Randolph AFB

Clearance: Must be a US Citizen eligible to OBTAIN a DoD Secret Clearance

AttainX is looking for an experienced IT support technician to aid our government client in San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate will provide timely and proactive Tier 1/2 support resolving end-user hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices), network, e-mail, application, and general environment issues. This position also supports audio & video teleconferencing support and hardware.

Job Description:
  • Provide Tier 1 & 2 on-site and remote technical services and business IT support related to the computing and network needs of end users. Support Client Systems Technicians (CST) and Functional System Administrators (FSA).
  • Support MacOS, Windows 10, as implemented in the Air Force approved Standard Desktop Configurations (SDC). Also, support Android and Apple mobile device operating systems. Support approved MS Office software (including 2013/2016/O365)
  • Support Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, server hardware and software platforms and related support tools including managing the day-to-day operation and configuration of the software environment and hardware/operating systems.
  • Evaluate and address potential information assurance security risks.
  • Ensure Video Telephone Conference projection systems (VTC, GSA RFQ1373929) meet audiovisual readiness requirements. Does not include setup of VTC appointments or conferences.
  • Leverage experience interfacing with external agencies (such as base- and enterprise-level IT support organizations) to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage user accounts on the AFIN NIPRNet local area network (LAN), including using processes to add, delete and modify user accounts.
  • Perform hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform network/system administrator duties. Manage operating systems, applications software, network interfaces, virus scanning software, administering printer services. Install and configure system hardware and software.
  • Assist users in performing requested backups or file transfers and restoring of data to workstations.
  • Submit, track, and resolve all technical issues using the AF Approved Process (Air Force Remedy) and any locally developed internal ticketing system.
Education/ Experience/ Skill Requirement:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Help Desk experience
  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification:
    • Security+CE
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA+
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • Must be familiar with iOS devices (Apple iPhone and iPads).
  • Must be a US Citizen eligible to OBTAIN a DoD Secret Clearance
