Minimum qualifications:

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required with additional vocational or special training in health care assistance desirable. Two years of relevant clerical or health care assistant experience required, preferably in a medical records of public health clinic environment.

Licenses and Certificates: TB Test clearance, Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance, and valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificates during the term of employment.

SUMMARY

Performs a variety of clerical duties involved in assisting a school nurse in the maintenance of health records, referrals and reports on a district-wide basis. Monitors district compliance with immunization and other health screening programs. Assists in screening students in accordance with State laws and district regulations. Assists with health testing programs and other health-related clerical services as requested.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a health care support position, which provides assistance in carrying out health related services for students and performs related clerical duties.

Comments and Other Information

The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus.

$9,360 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection.
$11,400 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
