Amergis Staffing is currently seeking Speech LanguagePathologist for the 2024/2025 school year in the Santa Barbara, CA area. Position Details: Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours/Week: 40 hours Start Date: October/November 2024 Length: 2024/2025 School Year Details: Amergis Advantages We haveoffices in most major cities across the country Premium payrates with tax advantage compensation Health/Dental/VisionInsurance available on 1st of month Weekly paythrough direct deposit Fullyfurnished, private housing available (pets are welcomed) Expensereimbursement for travel and state licensure available Accessible viaoffice phone, email, or text Emergency,On-call line, available 24/7 The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting isresponsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing anddocumenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed foreach individual student and the physician's orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assesses students’ communication skills (e.g. articulations,fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose ofidentifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility anddeveloping recommendations for treatment Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals forthe purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providingservices in compliance with established guidelines Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students(e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.)for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans,and/or providing training to parents/students/staff Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educationalmaterials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communicationdisorders in compliance with regulatory requirements Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriatecommunication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentativecommunication devices, etc.) Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports,activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation,quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g.training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) Provides speech and language therapy to students for thepurpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders onstudent success • Seeks appropriate in-service and professionaldevelopment Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in thestate of assignment required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-LanguagePathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
