  • Ashtabula, OH
  • $35.05/hour
  • Training on 1 st shift from 7am-330pm, but flexibility to work other shifts after training

The I&E Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation issues that would negatively impact the safe operation of plant systems.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Test, repair and upgrade electrical instrumentation systems.
  • Safely and efficiently maintain and repair manufacturing and utilities equipment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot electrical equipment, report deviations, equipment failures, and hazards.
  • Installation, calibration, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments and electrical equipment.
  • Identify, interpret, and effectively use drawings, and documentation related to electrical and process controls (electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, control schematics, instrument loop diagrams, etc.)
  • Control valve repair.
  • Participate on project teams identifying and sharing continuous improvement ideas.
  • Complete reports and documentation accurately.


Skills/Qualifications
  • 5 years' experience in electrical or instrumentation troubleshooting and repair, or 2 year technical degree/certificate in industrial electrician and 2 years of work experience in the electrical and/or instrumentation field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous chemical plant experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
  • Physically capable of climbing stairs and ladders both indoors and outdoors.
  • Able to work in an outdoor environment in all seasonal weather extremes.
  • Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
