Position Overview
The Pharmacy Technician Trainer Supervisor at Gifthealth is responsible for overseeing the training and development of pharmacy technicians. This role involves creating training programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring that all pharmacy technicians are knowledgeable and compliant with company standards and regulations. The Pharmacy Technician Trainer Supervisor will also provide ongoing support and mentorship to pharmacy technicians to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
How You'll Help Us Improve Healthcare
- Develop, implement, and oversee training programs for pharmacy technicians, ensuring all training materials are up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of trainers, enhancing their skills and ensuring high-quality training delivery.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultation with managers, ensuring that training programs meet the needs of operations and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Manage the certification process for pharmacy technicians, ensuring all technicians meet state and national certification standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacy management to align training programs with operational goals and objectives.
- Strong leadership and educational skills with a proven ability to develop and deliver training materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and inspiring a team.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in curriculum development and training in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred, with additional certification in adult education or training a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy technology with at least 2 years in a training or educational role.
