General Information:

Hitachi Energy Transformers- Business Solutions IT Organization is seeking an Application Specialist - DOT Net Developer who will provide overall support to the Jefferson City IT team to drive value and business growth to the business.
As Application Specialist you apply strong application technology knowledge and expertise to any application activity within all IT process domains. You are strongly involved in all operational activities and contributes to various areas, from solution design, through testing, deployment, configuration and development to users' training.


Your Responsibilities

  • Identify, propose, advise and implement existing IT application technology and IT solutions/services, sharing knowledge and -depending on seniority - guiding others on implementation and operation, using understanding of existing IT application technology and business requirements.
  • Involved in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT solutions/services where application knowledge is needed.
  • Application and software design, to provide product solutions for specific business needs
  • Manage/ support the entire process of building applications, from the design process, to creating, testing and rolling out the application
  • Design a product solution in line with specifications given by Solution Architect, Application Manager and business users
  • Implement application and provide support services for users
  • Provide trainings for the business users
  • Work with Business and IT to document business requirements and designs for approved solutions that will support and improve business operations.
  • Support facility staff in the identification and resolution of local applications used in the business operations.
  • Participate in the delivery and support of approved special projects
  • Tools and Methodologies of this role:
  • TIL 4 Certification is desired
  • MS Developer Certification is desired
  • Agile and DevOps Methodology are desired

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business management
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience developing applications with MS DOT Net
  • Experience developing Power BI solutions desired
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT Applications Development in multinational companies preferred
  • Experience in one or more coding languages like C++, Java, JavaScript desired
  • Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders
  • Experience with development platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, MS .Net) desired
  • Experience with functional domain where the application belongs to Finance, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Manufacturing
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles - Waterfall, Agile, DevOps.
  • Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities for navigating intricate data structures.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
