Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour (15:00 - 03:00)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: 1 year; first-time applicants are welcome

License: Required; state-specific license must be obtained

Certifications: NRP, ACLS, PALS, BLS

Must-Have:
- Labor and Delivery experience
- ICU experience
- Ventilator management experience

Job Description:
- Serve as the sole respiratory therapist in a critical access hospital.
- Provide coverage for the entire hospital including Obstetrics, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical/Surgical unit.
- Expected patient care ratio of 1:3.
- Work every other weekend; no block schedules required.
- Utilize EPIC for charting.
- Complete required modules prior to start, average 16 hours, non-billable.
- Orientation includes 40 hours.

Additional Notes:
- Required to work 3 out of 5 specified holidays.
- Floating between sister facilities may be expected.
- Should have 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last three years in a comparable setting.
- Communication devices to be provided if needed, or reimbursement may be offered for work-related use.
