Summary:
Under general supervision, provides individual, group, psychiatric diagnostic assessment, and referral services for the Traumatic Stress Center. Works as part of a clinical treatment team that includes the medical and administrative directors of outpatient services. Participates in policy and program development, program marketing, data collection, peer review, supervision and training to personnel, students, and volunteers.

Formal Education Required:
a. Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field of study and currently licensed as an LSW, LPC, MFT, LCDC, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and licensure.
b. Eligible for independent licensure (LISW, LPCC, IMFT, LICDC) within 2 years of hire.

Experience & Training Required:
a. Training or experience providing intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization clinical care preferred.
b. Must have (or attain within one year) nonviolent crisis intervention certification and maintain same thereafter.
c. Must have or attain BLS-C certification and maintain certification thereafter.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Must have knowledge and experience using DSM-V and Cognitive/ Behavior Group Therapy skills.
b. Training knowledge and experience with diagnosis and treatment of mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnosis treatment issues and interventions desired.
c. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EPIC) and concurrent documentation, preferred.
d. Ability to work well within a team environment
e. Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa by: Creating a patient care environment, which is focuses on the treatment needs and experiences of those served.
f. Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure
g. Ability to take initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal duties (e.g., suggesting innovative ideas and providing feedback on a team's direction)
h. Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constraints and demands placed on services as is common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets
i. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care professionals in exchanging information and assisting with patient care
j. Ability to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and community representatives in assisting to achieve health care goals
k. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
l. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
m. Adheres continuously to the ethical standards of the profession.

Level of Physical Demands:
a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
$25.29/hr - $37.94/hr
