Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our healthcare team. The LNA will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents/patients under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. The ideal candidate will be skilled in basic patient care, have a strong sense of empathy, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents/patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
Assist in transferring residents/patients to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
Observe and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
Assist with feeding residents/patients and ensure they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents/patients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents/patients by organizing and cleaning living spaces and common areas.
Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness.
Help residents/patients maintain their mobility and independence through exercises and activities.
Document care provided and report any concerns to the nursing team.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for residents/patients.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Empathetic and attentive to residents' needs.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving residents/patients.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
