Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse on our Orthopedics unit enjoys a friendly team-based environment with a tenured staff. We assist in the treatment of a diverse group of Medical Surgical Ortho patients. The Registered Nurse in our unit enjoys a strong collaborative approach with a group of Nurses with a wide diversity of skills. You will enjoy a team that consistently scores high in patient satisfaction and an array of educational opportunities on our floor.
You will also perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the nursing process/outcomes for the Ortho Service Line.
Provider of Care:
• Determine the predictable or unpredictable health status and health needs of patients (individual and family) through the interpretation of health data and preventive practice in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Utilize a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient.
Position Qualifications:
BSN REQUIRED* Will not accept ADN
• Current TX RN license or valid compact license
• Minimum of one year of RECENT experience in acute care hospital in Specialty required.
• BLS required, issued by the American Heart Association
