The Information Security Admin will work with the Information Security Officer to uncover security related risks and to assist with remediation of security issues. The position requires a detail-oriented person with excellent collaboration, communication, and partnering skills to work with bank teammates and external partners to ensure bank assets are properly protected. The Information Security Admin must ensure proper follow-up and follow through to resolution for issues. The incumbent will also adhere to information security requirements, practices, and controls and implement those in the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor e-mail encryption processes for data leakage. Review reports and document findings.
  • Monitor hardware access controls for appropriate access, and document exceptions.
  • Monitoring daily application system administration reports and documenting changes.
  • Monitoring phishing e-mail reporting, following up on phishing incidents, documenting findings and summarizing monthly phishing activity statistics.
  • Assist with annual information security training.
  • Creates end-user phishing tests, and follows up to ensure appropriate training is completed for those users who do not pass the phishing tests.
  • Participates in Information Security Branch Audits.
  • Ensures that document destruction occurs following bank policy and coordinates shred vendor visits for operations and branches.
  • Acts as a supportive team player and a champion of the Queensborough brand both internally and externally within the community.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Other duties as assigned.
