Transplant Nephrologist, Department of Medicine and Department of Surgery

Tufts Medical Center, the principal teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, is seeking a board-certified full time Transplant Nephrologist at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor to join our expanding multi-disciplinary dynamic transplant program.

Tufts Medical Center has a comprehensive transplant program which offers kidney, recently launched liver transplant program and heart transplantation services- largest in New England. Our multidisciplinary team of transplant specialists, surgeons, nephrologists and support staff work collaboratively to provide personalized care to each patient. We are committed to excellence in clinical care, education and research and we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a board-certified or board eligible Transplant Nephrologist to join our transplant nephrology team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the evaluation, management, and follow-up care of kidney transplant recipients and candidates.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversight and execution of medical aspects of pre- and post-transplantation care of kidney transplant candidates/recipients and living donors, both inpatient and outpatient.

• Participating in multidisciplinary transplant team meetings and conferences

• Participating in QAPI projects and clinical protocol development

• Engaging in clinical research and scholarly activities

• Interfacing with our HLA Lab

• Passionate about teaching fellows, residents and medical students

Compensation:

Tufts Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. A Tufts University School of Medicine appointment will be offered commensurate with academic qualifications.

Location: Tufts Medical Center, the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine in Downtown Boston.
