Position: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

Experience Required:
  • Must have 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
  • Inpatient hospital experience is required; pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid DC Social Worker state license.
Work Schedule:
  • Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Average daily census: outpatient clinics; onsite at the main hospital
  • Visits per day: variable based on referrals
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete assessments as needed in the clinic.
  • Provide ongoing support to patients and families.
  • Attend family meetings in the fetal clinic.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and offer anticipatory guidance around hospital admission.
  • Provide referrals to community resources and coordinate care for complex patients.
  • Conduct assessments for adolescents in the transition program.
Specialized Responsibilities:
  • Cardiac Care:
    • Manage fetal diagnosis and coordinate care for complex cardiac disease.
    • Oversee the adolescent transition program.
    • Provide referrals for Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) identified needs.
    • Conduct phone follow-ups with referrals from regional outpatient centers.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a valid DC Social Worker state license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and care coordination.


Compensation: $62.00 - $66.00 per hour
