Description

The King & Prince Seafood Quality Assurance Apprentice is responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory and customer requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to adhere to a 4x10 work schedule (Monday-Thursday)
  • Ability to work night shift from approximately 4:30PM to 2:00AM (overtime as needed)
  • Inspects facility and equipment for acceptable sanitation during both preoperational inspection and operational inspection. (all)
  • Assists in collection of microbiological and chemical samples for equipment, raw materials and/or finished product. (all).
  • Collect retain samples and routine customer evaluation samples per sample schedule.
  • Inspects and approves all raw materials, dry ingredients and packaging for use upon receipt. (QCRM techs)
  • Inspects and approves co-packed products following accepted sampling procedures. (QCRM techs)
  • Checks finished products for workmanship and assigns hold product as necessary. (QCFG techs)
  • Conducts food safety (HACCP) monitoring and initiates corrective actions when necessary. (all)
  • Communicates in a timely manner with appropriate Quality and Production Supervision when quality or food safety parameters are not met or are trending toward non-compliance.
  • Utilizes Infinity SPC system to collect and maintain data (all)
  • Knowledge of all K&P quality related documentation
  • Keep accurate and timely records both written and computerized.
  • Complies with company safety, COVID-19, quality, SSOP, HACCP and GMP guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
