Electrician

Job Description

Our client, a leading produce company, is currently seeking an accomplished Electrician to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical theory, practices, procedures, equipment, tools and materials

2) Install, maintain and repair packaging, processing and facility electrical systems

3) Understand the national electrical code, state and local electric codes and ordinances

4) Install, repair and perform maintenance of conduits, high and low-voltage systems, lighting circuits, panels, regulators, emergency power generators, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, switch boxes, and related electrical fixtures and equipment within the facility per code

5) Observe and interpret meters and gauges and perform electrical system repair of boilers, refrigeration and auxiliary equipment

6) Monitor and inspect the facility for electrical and mechanical problems and equipment malfunctions

7) Maintain departmental maintenance records and logs

8) Notifies supervisory personnel of conditions affecting the operation of equipment or the safety of staff

9) Help to maintain general cleanliness of maintenance and electrical areas

10) Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions to become and remain current with required electrical licensing and code changes, principles, practices and current trends in the industry

11) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the produce industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance
