This position allows the dietitian to identify an area of interest and will focus on professional training and growth.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be a Registered Dietitian or Registry eligible
- 1-3 years experience
- Have a desire to interact with patients who are seeking better management of a chronic disease, such as diabetes or obesity.
- Have the desire for personal and professional growth in the outpatient field.
- Strong skills in organization, communication, marketing, and counseling are needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with team and independently needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate their nutritional needs and goals
- Develop individualized meal plans based on dietary restrictions, health conditions, and personal preferences
- Provide education and provide individual counseling on healthy eating habits and food choices
- Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to their meal plans as needed
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify underlying causes of nutritional deficiencies or imbalances
- Communicates with families, physicians, and other health care professions
- Maintains daily, thorough documentation of services in the EMR
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Doctoral/Masters/Bachelors degree in Nutrition
- Registered Dietitian credentials and a valid licensed in FL is required;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player;
- The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

***A PRN therapist is part of an on-call pool of therapists who work on a per diem basis. PRN is short for the Latin term "pro re nata," which means "as needed." As a PRN therapist, a therapy organization will send patient assignments for the therapist to follow the POC when they need an extra therapist to treat their patient load.
