Lead Java Full Stack Developer (Spring Boot)

Location: Woonsocket - RI USA or Remote.

Responsibilities

* Lead the design and development of sophisticated software solutions using Spring Boot and Java.

* Oversee the implementation of design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.

* Develop and maintain unit tests using JUnit5 to ensure code quality.

* Utilize YAML for configuration management and ensure consistency across environments.

* Implement and manage version control using GIT to track changes and collaborate with team members.

* Work with JSON and XML for data interchange between systems.

* Ensure the application of Spring Framework best practices in all development activities.

* Manage and configure Linux servers to support application deployment and maintenance.

* Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.

Qualifications

* The ideal candidate will have 9+ years of experience with a strong background in JUnit5, Design Patterns, YAML, Spring Boot, Java, JSON, GIT, XML, Spring Framework and Linux

* Possess a strong understanding of JUnit5 for unit testing.

* Demonstrate expertise in design patterns for creating scalable software architectures.

* Have experience with YAML for configuration management.

* Show proficiency in Spring Boot and Java for backend development.

* Be skilled in using JSON and XML for data interchange.

* Have hands-on experience with GIT for version control.

* Be knowledgeable in the Spring Framework for enterprise application development.

* Have experience working with Linux servers.

* Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

* Have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Be able to mentor and guide junior developers.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

* Have domain expertise in the Payer sector.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 11/15/2024

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to 163,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
