Description

Are you a Dental Assistant who loves working with kids? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced office and building relationships? Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry, located in Colorado Springs, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Dental Assistant. We are looking for a dental assistant with a caring and can-do attitude willing to go above and beyond with their interactions with patients, patients' families, and staff members. This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays.

We are a pediatric dental practice working with children from infancy through college, providing a caring, welcoming, and fun environment where they will enjoy every visit Join our team today~ Our Dental Assistants are a crucial resource on our team. YOU are the individuals who help us deliver our number one core value of putting our patients and our doctor's experience first.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Utilize electronic dental records and digital radiography.
  • Prepares treatment rooms by stocking, breaking down, setting up, and sterilizing.
  • Prepares treatment plans.
  • Checking patients in
  • Screening patient forms, including health history
  • Assists in dental emergencies that occur in the clinic by preparing the treatment room and ensuring the accessibility of instruments, equipment, and materials during procedures. Anticipates instruments needed by dentists throughout the procedure and ensures timely access to instruments.
  • Actively participates in morning huddles and team meetings
  • Monitors dental supply inventory and communicates needs to supply and equipment manager

Requirements
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback.
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant certification program
  • 1 or more years as a Dental Assistant
  • Pediatrics experience preferred.
  • Dentrix experience is a plus.
  • CPR and basic life support (BLS) Certification
  • X-Ray certification
