This entry-level Planner position offers an opportunity to collaborate on projects related to Complete Streets, Vision Zero, transit access, greenways, streetscapes, park design, and community placemaking for municipalities, regional organizations, and state agencies throughout the northeast. NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through six business verticals: Testing, Inspection & Consulting; Infrastructure; Utility Services; Environmental Health Sciences; Buildings & Program Management; and Geospatial Technology. Responsibilities The position includes a range of activities that support our planning practice, including: GIS mapping and analysis Active Transportation/Bicycle/Pedestrian Master Plans, and route and facility planning Vision Zero Plans, s afety assessments and road safety audits Production of project deliverables (data collection, writing, editing, research, graphic development) Conceptual design, graphics, and renderings Public outreach (participation in virtual and in-person meetings, development of outreach materials such as input boards and surveys) Attendance for in-office activities, public outreach events, and field trips as needed Qualifications The ideal candidate will exhibit the following: Completion of (or on course to complete) a graduate degree in planning, landscape architecture, engineering, or a related field Strong communications skills, and excellent writing and graphics capabilities Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ArcGIS, AutoCAD, or other industry software Collaborative spirit Ability to succeed in a hybrid work environment (combination of remote, in-office, and in-the-field work) Second language skills a plus The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
