Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites. Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools. Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects. Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner. Keep track of company truck and gas card. Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University. Facility Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications: Basic experience in the following areas: electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping. (Please make sure you experience is in your resume) Valid driver’s license (U-Haul Provides Company Truck) Available 7 days a week/ Weekend and Holidays D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul) -Maintenance is 7 days a week, roating schechedule with Maintenance crew. Work Environment:The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields. Physical Demands:The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
