POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: S.A.S.S. (Students Against Stereotyping Sexuality) / Club Mix Sponsor

REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Assistant Principal, Student Activities Coordinator

Stipend: $2,500.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience or Training
Broad knowledge of his/her club/activity and its relationship to the whole school
Teaching certification preferred
Communication skills
Organization skills
Time management skills
Leadership skills
Ability to work with teens
Willingness to accept responsibility for the tasks of the position
Demonstrated understanding of and compliance with District policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Desired Experience or Training
Valid Professional Educators License, School Administrator, Substitute Teaching, School Psychologist,
School Counselor, School Social Worker Certificate, or retired from teaching or a Certificate from a Coaches Education Program
Previous sponsor experience

Responsibilities
To perform the duties of organizing, providing and promoting club activities and events. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provide effective leadership in activities and events for students in the S.A.S.S. / Mix Club.
  2. Organize and effectively lead students to plan and execute activities and events for the S.A.S.S. / Mix Club.
  3. Obtain supervision for the S.A.S.S. / Mix Club after school activities and events.
  4. Schedule and coordinate the use of facilities for activities and events for the S.A.S.S. / Mix Club with the designated building personnel.
  5. Manage and supervise the use of the facilities during activities and events for the S.A.S.S. / Mix Club.
  6. Responsible to work within the given budget and keep accurate records of monies used and received.
  7. Work with the Student Activity Coordinator to determine activities and events for the S.A.S.S. / Mix Club.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
