JOB TITLE: Temporary Worker-21st CCLC

Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:
  • Be enrolled in post high school courses with a GPA of 2/5 or above
  • Experience working with at-risk students preferred, but not required
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Ability to stand and or walk for several hours at a time
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and abide by the FERPA act
  • Be willing to work late or on the weekend on occasion
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Assist the campus TX ACE Site Coordinator and supervise children during after-school activities
  • Foster a nurturing learning environment that promotes positive Instructor-Student relationships
  • possess skills or interests that can be utilized to create or contribute to ACE activities
  • Prepare, and implement lesson plans and request instructional materials for activities as instructed
  • Ensure that the area where instruction is occurring is a clean and safe environment
  • Assist children with meal/snack time and clean up
  • Complete all activity paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance records
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, program events, parent meetings, field trips and professional development as requested
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members
