Job Description ESTIMATOR - DEMOLITION
Well established, 50yr, local demolition company with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating offers the highest level of service and is seeking an ESTIMATOR to assist them in upkeeping their reputation within the industry. This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Estimator. The Project Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for various local demolition projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales department and project managers to analyze project requirements, develop cost estimates, and provide necessary documentation to the project team.
Qualifications
- 3+yrs Commercial and Residential Demolition and Removal of Buildings, Parking Lots, Driveways, Foundations, Sidewalks, Interiors and More
- Must have a working knowledge of blueprints, specifications and contract administration
- Possess ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scope of work documents, and project schedules
- Demonstrated capabilities and achievement holding a leadership position
- An adaptable, collaborative, and communicative professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a talented team to achieve exceptional results
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and math skills
- Experienced using Microsoft Office Applications - MS Project, MS Office and Bluebeam or similar
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Perform site visits to confirm actual field condition
- Provide estimates, scope letters, work plans, and safety plans
- Develop estimates for self-assigned, large projects
- Designate and assign projects to members of the Estimating Team as they occur based upon the individual’s prior project completions and cumulative experience
- Serve as a Client Relationship Manager
- Facilitate transition of project knowledge upon contract award
- Assist Senior Project Manager in gaining familiarity with scope upon contract award
- Consult with clients, vendors and/or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Ensure company is on bid lists with commercial/industrial clients & general contractors
