Position Type: Full time (Contract) Duration: 12 months As a Senior Engineer, you will : * This role will support technical reviews and development of electrical design and equipment for various projects by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. * Work with electrical engineers and other technical disciplines in a team environment to support the safe operations of a power plant. * Individual must have extensive understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line drawings, schematics, and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations. * Performs special tasks, calculations/studies, and product reviews. * Responsible to produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope. * Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for the preparation of electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks. * Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external vendors and peers within a team. * Interface with regulatory agencies as required. * Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks. Required skills: * Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and five years of discipline specific engineering experience; OR a PE license obtained by an accredited examination and five years of discipline specific engineering experience. High school diploma or GED is required. * One diverse assignment is desirable. * Require the Utility or Oil & Gas Industry Experience. * Plant certification is desirable. * Requires knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories and methods to identify and solve standard to highly complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses. * Advanced knowledge of related discipline principles is also required. * Computer skills, including complex methods used for problem solving. * Effective communication skills are required to relate to a wide variety of backgrounds. * Ability to provide strong technical leadership. * Basic understanding and use of company Core Values (Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, Mutual respect and trust, through open and honest communication).
