Reports To: Facilities Manager
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning all facilities at for the Providence Creek Academy Charter School.
Qualities needed to thrive in this role:
- Relationships- the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and key school stakeholders across the school
- Knowledge- a working knowledge of the school climate, facilities, staff, systems and operations of PCA
- Dedication- a desire to aid all personnel and families in successfully enhancing the culture, educational capacity, and operations of PCA through proper sanitizing and cleaning of all responsible areas
- Community- Maintain relationships with vendors and community partners
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Custodian will:
- Clean and sanitize designated area
- Empty trash, sweep, mop, and vacuum all offices, classrooms, hallways, and restrooms in your area
- Wipe down all windows and blinds
- Clean, dust, and wipe down all furniture
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
- Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from parking lot, sidewalks, and stairs using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
- Refill restroom supplies and chemical feeds as needed
- Assist in re-organization of physical spaces (classrooms, café, etc)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Head of School
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Lift up to 50 lbs
Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Ability to:
- Manage time effectively
- Remain organized
- Report in a timely fashion
- Communicate with various staff members
- Work on your feet for an entire shift
Compensation: $15.00/hour
