Campbell Companies is seeking a highly motivated Credit Supervisor at their Salt Lake City, Utah branch. This position will assist, lead, mentor, coach, and supervise a set of Account Coordinators and provide backup to the Assistant Credit Manager and Director of Credit. They will provide day-to-day support for the Credit Department, assisting as a liaison between both external and internal customers. They will be responsible for managing a group of designated customer accounts, ensuring the customers are adhering to their credit terms, while providing quality customer service.

This position will require a leader to earn and maintain the respect of the other employees on the team, peers, and company leaders. They will need to be CI driven and willing to continue to educate themselves in credit by earning NACM designations.

Detailed Description:

Campbell Companies is an administrative agency that supports the needs of seven subsidiary organizations that span the construction industry. The Campbell family business ventures started with Wheeler Machinery, Utah’s Caterpillar dealership. Since then, Campbell Companies have added Sitech Intermountain, Monsen Engineering, Gardner Energy, Heritage Industries, Diamond Rental and ICM Solutions.

With a combined workforce over 1,000 employees and more than 20 locations throughout Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona, the Campbell Companies collaborates on thousands of projects each year. The Credit Supervisor will be part of the Campbell Companies Credit Department. The Credit Department is made up of eleven highly motivated professionals. The Credit Department offers support for all the Campbell Companies subsidiaries. This is a salaried position for Wheeler Machinery and will be full-time and required to work at our corporate offices in Salt Lake City.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand how to work and keep others safe in the work environment.

  • Help to boost and sustain department moral.

  • Work with the Assistant Credit Manager overseeing daily operations with the credit department team. - Assist in planning and executing strategies to reduce DSO. - Create and develop strategies to keep customers AR balances within the company’s credit terms. - Assist in reaching department collections goals and metrics. - Enforce credit policies. - Assist in the preparation of department reports. - Assist in quarterly department trainings.

  • Meet with direct reports regularly to review goals and develop and implement effective methods for performing their job duties.

  • Respond to phone calls and emails promptly.

  • Ensure customers are receiving their invoices & statements.

  • Collect payments from customers.

  • Partner with the accounts receivable department to ensure accurate posting of payments.

  • Contact customers with a past due balance via phone, email, written letters, and meeting in person.

  • Plan, prepare and present payment plans to customers that have past due balances.

  • Prepare legal packets when accounts are deemed uncollectable.

  • Encourage Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Credit and Collections 1-2 years

  • Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, etc.).

  • CODA (accounting and finance system)

  • DBS (operations ERP systems)

Education:

  • High school degree (required)

  • Associate degree (preferred)
