Job Description:

Our client is a leading government contractor. They are one of the most well regarded companies in the U.S.. They are performing a large enterprise wide upgrade and implementation of their CE environments. Presently our client is using ServiceNow's Orlando platform in their AWS and Azure cloud environments. Our client has realized, due to large demand for new capabilities, they need to review, enhance, and improve their use and knowledge of the modules in the ITOM, ITSM, and ITBM suites.

A consultant is needed to act as a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to help improve our client's capabilities supporting ServiceNow and the ITOM, ITSM, and ITBM suites and maximize it's use to the enterprise module expansion, platform integration and automation.

Another goal of this endeavor is to create repeatable process and suite that in turn could be sold as an offering to our client's customers

This role is 100% remote although our client may ask the consultant to come to the office once every 2-3 months in Virginia if there are things that need to be performed that cannot be properly communicated over the phone and or video. The team will consist of upwards of 20 people from our client, ServiceNow Professional Services, and other contractors.

The hours worked will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST although "off hours" and weekend hours are likely. The consultant will need to convert to a full time employee after 6 months and obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key technical resource regarding the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation.
  • Work with external development partners and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our client that leverage ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Perform ServiceNow design, development, maintenance, and enhancements to applications of the ServiceNow ITSM platform
  • Implement configuration/customization of the ServiceNow application and facilitate the rollout of new modules and configure Application UI and workflow
  • At times, offer input on ServiceNow architectural design reviews, code, roadmap design and prioritization, platform expertise, expert program/project guidance and optimization planning.
  • Complete internal system audits and actively monitor license utilization (ServiceNow applications as well as third-party add-ons. Maintaining required information security controls for the platform.
  • Assist with leading platform design sessions, performing design reviews, using a familiarity with architect frameworks, and publishing platform standards and design models.
  • Apply data governance strategy and considerations to maximize reuse of common data elements and to maintain high data quality.
  • Assist our client with improving their understanding and use of ServiceNow product development lifecycle processes
Required:
  • BS in Computer Science or Information Systems related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of high level IT experience
  • 7+ years of experience ServiceNow platform strategy, design, and operational execution
  • Deep expertise with ServiceNow Orlando
  • Within the past 5 years, the consultant must have at least 3 years of experience implementing and deploying applications within the core suite of ITSM applications (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB), to include reports. This must include development experience with the ServiceNow APIs and using them to create or modify applications
  • Deep experience working as s ServiceNow Administrator supporting multiple ServiceNow implementations across domains (e.g., ITOM, ITBM) in the role
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification
  • Flexibility to support issues or planned activities after hours, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Excellent English documentation and verbal skills
  • Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation including criminal, financial, educational, and employment segments and a drug test
  • After 6 months, convert to become a full time employee of our client and obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Desired:
  • Have both a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification

  • Position Details: Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance immediately after converting to a full time employee of our client
