Lead Veterinary Technician - Thrive Pet Healthcare Midtown Atlanta

As a growing national brand, Thrive supports its veterinarians with a more efficient business operation, a higher staff-to-doctor ratio, and a friendly and organized team that's second to none. We even have a call center to handle incoming inquiries. The net result is more time for our clinical teams to focus on their true passion: caring for animals. Our care caseload provides the perfect combination of challenge and diversity, with medical care that includes diagnostics, dentistry, radiology and surgery. Our veterinarian teams are often comprised of experienced and recently graduated doctors, which encourages mentorship and learning. We promote a clinic environment centered on a true team approach, where we succeed at a high level together.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a Positive work environment
Managing other technicians
Training technicians and concierge team members
Following and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures
Making work schedules
Attending meetings
Reviewing staff time sheets
Troubleshooting repairs
Inventory and ordering
Hiring of employees
Staff evaluations
Confidently training new hires in all aspects of patient care including anesthetic monitoring
Splitting the week between admin time and time on the floor as a technician

Qualifications:

3 or more years of direct patient care experience; CVT / LVT / RVT preferred, but not required
One year of leadership experience
Team player and willingness to cross train in all areas of a general practice
Self-driven accountability for learning
Positive attitude
Conflict resolution skills
Self-starter
Weekend availability
