Job Description: The experienced Applications Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and modifying systems related to Cerner PharmNet and related applications and functionalities. The PharmNet Analyst helps to plan, analyze, coordinate and direct activities related to Cerner PharmNet. They also develop and document internal procedures used in conjunction with the application, serve as the support contact and coordinate questions and issues regarding these applications. This position works under general supervision. Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance and support of clinical systems, primarily Cerner PharmNet and associated functions within the Cerner EMR. Maintain and support the Cerner PharmNet application on and off normally scheduled shifts (troubleshooting, updates, fixes, and project support, on-call). Responsible for maintenance and support including but not limited to pharmacy orderable/formulary, NDC stacking, medication reconciliation, ePrescribe, Multum uploads, and SureScripts to name a few. Configures applications and related interfaces including but not limited to Pyxis, Swisslog, and DoseEdge. Provide Level II and Level III support the Cerner system as needed. Documenting detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Documents all build activities in conjunction with updating vendor-provided application specifications and perform integration and unit testing. Establish and maintain relationships at the appropriate level between HTC and client to provide appropriate status of tickets, escalation of issues, solution benefits, etc. Formulates solutions using effective communication skills with providers, department managers, units, and other related personnel and outside vendors. Experience performing all phases of the System Development Life Cycle including implementation, integration and regression testing, user acceptance, deployment, maintenance and support of Cerner Millennium. Adhere to version control processes Other duties as assigned Requirements: 5+ years of experience with Cerner PharmNet maintenance and support experience required. Cerner PharmNet design, build and implementation experience preferred. 2+ years’ experience with Cerner Millennium Meds Process (specifically pharmacy) workflow OR design and build experience. Knowledge of Pharmacy workflows and processes. Demonstrated progressively responsible assignments in system analysis functions. Familiarity with the implementation of automated systems and working with software vendors. Excellent client, vendor, project team, and employee relationship skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with business process analysis and design, including identification and implementation of “best practices,” where applicable and practical within the project timelines. Must be able to support clients in the Eastern time zone. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, public health, health information administration, or a related field or equivalent related experience.
