Ambulatory Nurse Manager

Join our dynamic team as an Ambulatory Nurse Manager, overseeing a fast-paced preoperative and post-operative unit at Albany Medical Center. Our center cares for over 80 patients a day in a highly collaborative, patient-focused environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Surgeons, Providers, Residents, Fellows, Nursing Students, and Medical Students.
Position Highlights:
- Lead a dedicated team in providing excellent patient care in a busy Ambulatory Surgery area.
- Support and mentor staff while promoting lifelong learning and professional development.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and respect.
- Manage the flow of communication to maintain optimal department operations.
- Implement financial planning strategies aligned with center goals.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State nursing registration or a limited permit.
- A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience is required.
- Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory; a Master's in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- Proven abilities in team management, effective communication, and resource management.
