Job Overview

Seeking a highly motivated Clinical Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work in our Nutritional Services Department.

This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $43.35 - $61.20/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

This position provides clinical nutrition services and care to pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity, and counsels/educates patients and their families on specific diets and normal nutrition.

  • Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments of assigned pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuitylevels.
  • Develops a nutritional care plan based on the findings of the Nutritional Screen and/or Assessment. Monitors/reassesseshospital patients
  • Supervises the work of the Dietary Clerks, and Volunteers.
  • Assists with planning the patients' cycle menu to promote healthy choices as defined by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.
  • Maintains inventory of clinical supplies required to provide services. Consults with the Manager as specified.

Qualifications

Requires current Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission of Dietetics Registration. Bilingual skills and previous pediatric hospital experience preferred.
