Selectek is partnering with a company in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to hire a Transmission Line Design Engineer. This company specializes in electricity transmission, so candidates with experience working with high voltages are preferred.
Employment Type: Contract to Direct
Expected Pay Range: $34-$60 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Job Duties: Candidates will create physical designs of transmission lines. This role will require candidates to engineer, design and oversee the production of a design team. Client and customer interaction to confirm specifications and present deliverables will also be required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in utility transmission line design
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD is preferred, but other software experience will be considered
- Technically competent with arrangement and layout of structures, functions of line components, understanding of grounding and lightning/shielding protection, and sag/tension limits.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p. Flexible start times will be available at the firm's discretion after an onboarding/orientation period.
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
