We are a unique, members-only practice, which allows us to guarantee 24/7 medical care in the comfort of our patients' homes. Foregoing a brick-and-mortar office, our model is based completely on house calls - doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, x-ray technicians - all medical personnel take care of patients in their home.

In addition to providing utmost convenience to our patients, we are proud to provide the highest quality of pediatric care. We achieve this by significantly reducing the patient to physician ratio. Physician house calls are limited to 4 per day, and patient panels are limited to 100 patients per physician.

This system allows our pediatricians to faithfully live up to their duty as primary care physicians. At Miami Concierge Pediatrics, you will become an intimate part of your patients' families, forming long-lasting relationships that are professionally fulfilling. Averaging one hour per visit, you will be able to dedicate the time you and your patients deserve for each patient interaction. A significantly reduced panel of patients will allow you to address all medical decision management with academic inquiry, basing your practice of medicine on relevant medical literature, the latest research, and direct communication with experts in our field. Finally, you will become your patients' personal medical advocate, coordinating roundtable discussions with specialists or second-opinion experts to provide the highest quality of primary care for complex patients.

At Miami Concierge Pediatrics you will be given the opportunity to become the doctor you envisioned being, but who was unfortunately stifled by the traditional healthcare delivery model, which bases itself on high-volume and low-quality interactions.

In sharp contrast, our concierge healthcare delivery model bases itself on low-volume and premium-quality interactions. Patient families have direct access to their pediatrician via phone, text, and video, and they can request on-demand emergency house calls. For this reason, while our practice model consists of significantly low volume, it does require a flexible lifestyle with a less structured schedule. 

We are looking for an academic and innovative Pediatrician to further develop our unique practice. The ideal candidate thrives in an academic environment and considers themself an expert in their field.  

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of ACGME-approved post-graduate residency in Pediatrics
  • Board-Certified in Pediatrics
  • Minimum 3 years of experience post-residency in a high-volume outpatient facility or a combination of outpatient and inpatient care
  • Meet all requirements in order to obtain medical staff membership and required privileges at local hospitals
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Florida (will help obtain FL license if coming from out of state)
  • PALS Certification
  • Published at least one research article in a peer-reviewed journal 
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn suturing, intramuscular injections, reconstitution of medications for IM/IV administration, IV infusion management, urethral catheterization, splinting, acute management of respiratory distress
  • Preference for Ivy League graduates (undergraduate or medical degree)
  • Preference for a bilingual candidate (English, Spanish)

Responsibilities:

  • Performing all the duties of a primary care pediatrician: examining patients, diagnosing, managing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions; ordering and interpreting diagnostic laboratories; ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging; providing overall wellness counseling, including but not limited to nutritional counseling, sleep counseling, exercise counseling.
  • Completing all wellness visits according to the AAP schedule in the patients' homes or location of preference.
  • Completing on-demand sick visits in patients' homes or location of preference
  • Managing urgent care situations requiring acute medical management in patients' homes (acute respiratory distress, laceration repair, IV hydration management, urethral catheterization, splinting, etc.)
  • Being directly accessible to patients and their families via text, phone, or teleconference for medical advice, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Coordinating admissions and attending hospital rounds (as a visitor) should your patient need to be hospitalized. 
  • Collaborating with specialists and coordinating communication among specialists in-person, or via phone/teleconference to provide the highest quality of primary care for complex patients.
  • Collaborating with paramedical professionals in-person or via phone to provide the highest quality of pediatric care (lactation consultants, doulas, phlebotomists, nurses, dieticians, speech/occupational/physical therapists, etc.)
