Job Description
KOPA, Inc is seeking a dedicated and experienced Optometrist to join our physicians group. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to residents of skilled nursing facilities through telehealth platforms. You will collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage various eye conditions and visual impairments.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct remote eye examinations and assessments for residents of skilled nursing facilities.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, refractive errors, and other vision-related conditions.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or other appropriate treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with facility staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for residents.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Provide education and counseling to residents and their families regarding eye health and disease prevention.
• Participate in telehealth training and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as an Optometrist.
• Minimum of X years of clinical experience in optometry, preferably in geriatric or long-term care settings.
• Proficiency in conducting remote eye examinations and using telehealth technology platforms.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
