We are seeking a dynamic Regional Clinical Specialist to join a worldwide healthcare organization committed to delivering a range of pioneering medical products and solutions to its clientele. This role is perfect for those who desire a challenging and rewarding career in a diverse and dynamic work environment.

The Regional Clinical Specialist will take the lead in educating physicians, nurses, and technicians on the effective utilization and benefits of the company's products within Cardiac Cath Labs, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular Surgery suites. They will spearhead training initiatives in their region and provide support during product launches and to busy teams as required. Additionally, this role will contribute to clinical trials both locally and nationally when necessary. Expectations include assisting in the onboarding process for new team members and fostering ongoing skill development within the region.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate or lead in-service training sessions for physicians and nursing/lab staff involved in new product evaluations or trials.
  • Gather baseline data on hospital/lab closure performance metrics (TTH, TTA, complication rates, physician/staff satisfaction with existing protocols and VCDs) before evaluations/trials.
  • Evaluate patient characteristics pre-procedure and advise physicians and nursing/lab staff on patient profiles conducive to successful product deployment.
  • Consult physicians and lab technicians during procedures on the proper use of products.
  • Follow patients to the recovery room post-procedure and record survey data on TTA, complications, patient comfort, and staff experience.
  • Assist the Territory Manager (TM) in organizing and analyzing evaluation/trial data.
  • Identify product usage issues and promptly communicate them to the Regional Sales Director and appropriate TM. Provide additional in-service training to affected clinical staff if issues arise from incorrect device usage.
  • Expertly present clinical papers, RESPECT clinical trial data, and the overall value proposition while ensuring compliance with external regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the monitoring of product inventory levels.
  • Share insights on competitive products or account issues/opportunities with the appropriate TM or Clinical Specialist (CS).
  • Assist with the clinical training and onboarding of new field personnel.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in health science and relevant registration or certifications (such as RN, RCIS, RCSA, RCMS, RVMS, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Strong clinical background, with experience in products used in interventional cardiology and/or cardiac surgery highly desirable.
  • TAVR experience a plus.
