Supv, Adult Pulmonary Critical Care Advanced Practice

General Description: An OAP APP Supervisor is a clinician and administrative leader who supports the enhancement of a group of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) in a service line, within the OU Health system. An OAP APP Supervisor works closely with OAP leadership, clinical department physician leadership, clinical department operational leaders, and interprofessional colleagues on APP regulatory compliance, work expectations, credentialing, and professional issues. The OAP APP Supervisor helps to field and manage day to day issues that involve practicing OU Health APPs.

In collaboration with business, OAP leadership, and medical leaders, performs hiring & orientation of new APPs.
Oversees Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE).
Completes performance evaluations in collaboration with the Physician teams.
Time, attendance, and schedule oversite in collaboration with the physician teams.
CME benefit tracking.
Monitors certification tracking to ensure compliance with all required certifications for position.
Monitors compliance for system wide and departmental initiatives.
Monitoring APP clinical work expectations in partnership with OUH Leadership.
Supports key strategic initiatives and goals of the Office for Advanced Practice.
Supports OAP and system wide projects that are aimed at advancing PA and APRN practice, education, and research initiatives.
Participates in interprofessional partnerships to best support high quality care for the patients and their families at OU Health.
Supports OU Health mission and vision with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Remains current on national and regional trends and changes within the APP role, the organization and health care delivery system.

Clinical department reporting for practice responsibilities.
Maintains patient care practice. Effort to be determined.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
APRN: Master's degree in one of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse areas (CNS, CRNA, CNP, or CNM) required. Relative Doctoral degree preferred.
Physician Assistant: Master's degree in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies required. Relative Doctoral degree preferred.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience required with at least 1 year experience in clinical practice as an Advanced Practice Provider.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s):
APRN: APRN and RN licensure from Oklahoma Board of Nursing and board certification.
Physician Assistant: Current full licensure from Oklahoma Board of Medicine and board certification.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proven ability to provide leadership in a complex environment.
Demonstrate leadership and effectiveness in building strong working relationships with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
Evidence of successful collaborations with APPs and Physician colleagues.
Demonstrate ability to be engaging and persuasive with strong teamwork skills, politically astute, diplomatic, and able to manage by influence.
Flexible and capable of responding to multiple demands in a time-sensitive manner.
Ability to exercise thoughtful judgment in all matters related to APPs.
Sufficient with MS Office applications.
Must understand basic concepts related to billing and revenue.
Working knowledge of the APRN/PA scope of practice.
