Role Overview:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Specialist is pivotal in coordinating and delivering high-quality respiratory care. In this role, you will administer care in accordance with department requirements and the relevant standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway management.
  • Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Administer various respiratory therapies and ensure patient safety during procedures.
  • Prepare and operate clinical equipment as per ECMO policies.
  • Effectively manage crisis situations and maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
  • Associate Degree and RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner credentials.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a relevant role.
